To make this rakshabandhan unique & special with ecofriendly and handmade rakhis – the department of Biotechnology by lecturer-In-Charge : Dr.B.Nageshwari and the faculty members Mrs.K.Anusha and Ms.I.Parnika Sai conducted a mini competiton for hand made and ecofriendly rakhis by students on 19th of August 2024 on the day of rakshabandhan.
The Theme hand made rakhis is to enlighten their thinking ability to create anything new and it turned out as the most appreciative with their usage of ideaologies.

Outcome:
Ecofriendly rakhis were used as theme in part of supporting global sustainability by saying no to Plastic with the easily biodegradable materials and natural colours. And this theme made students to enhance their knowledge on biodegradability and they made usage of shells of dry fruits, different types of pulses and the most amazing simple smart work was also done by using grass as thread, Peas as beads and the slice of carrot as rakhi pendent with the lowest investement.
