Department of Hindi
The Department of HINDI has its existence since 1873. Around five hundred students are learning Hindi in this institution. This prestigious institution was sanctioned autonomy from the academic year 2000-01 onwards.
The department of Hindi was started in the year 1954 in this prestigious college with second language and group Hindi. The group Hindi is encouraged by the department and the students studied Hindi for the purpose of PG level education.
Hindi is a link language and has got it's national value. It is encouraged by the ministry of education, Govt of India.
Many scholars and pandits like Dr J. Viswamitra, Dr I. Pandurangarao, AkellaSitaramam worked in this college from 1954 onwards. Dr HSM Kameswararao worked as Reader in Hindi, nearly about 20 years and promoted as principal in 2009.
Dr P H Ram Prasad worked as lecturer in Hindi from November 2010 to July 2014. During his tenure the department of Hindi conducted a State level work shop, National level work Shop and a national seminar.

Since then, the Department of Hindi has been conducting the Board of Studies meeting every year and updating the syllabus keeping the needs for the enhancement of the academic standards of the student community. The department of Hindi has also introduced certificate course in Spoken Hindi, Hindi Club and Departmental wall magazine. Hindi club was formed for all the interested students who want learn Hindi skills. The department also aims at the shaping the personality of the students through these literary and moral values.
