Outcomes at the end of the year 2015 - 2016

  • Wi-fi partially enabled.
  • Departments of Commerce, Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry are provided internet facility.
  • Fifteen certificate/diploma courses in various disciplines for students and public are introduced.
  • Renovations to toilets are in process.
  • Admission process is automated.
  • 25 computers procured for Departments.
  • Under TISS platform, JKC offers skill-based training to selected students.
  • Department wise-students are trained for NET/SLET and JKC, English club train students in general for other competitive exams and recruitment drives.
  • All the eligible Lecturers applied for guide ship.

Outcomes at the end of the year 2014 - 2015

  • Special Training Programme and Intensive Remedial Coaching were initiated
  • Two new papers namely Computer Fundamentals/Computer Skills for all the I year UG students and Office Automation Tools for all the II year students have been introduced.
  • 40% Practical Component introduced for 10 marks out of 25 allotted for internal assessment.
  • Departments of Zoology and Microbiology introduced interdisciplinary programs
  • Instant Examination conducted for final year students having not more than 2 backlog papers.
  • Five Members of the Faculty have attended Refresher course and two for Orientation course.
  • The Department of Chemistry has conducted one National Seminar and the Departments of Physics, Botany, Hindi and Mathematics have conducted 1 workshop each.
  • One MRP in Political Science, one in Botany, and two in Physics are ongoing. Two MRPs in Botany have been completed.
  • Rs. 3, 20,000 Research Grant sanctioned by UGC.
  • 4 Scholars under Dr. G.S.Moses, 3 under Dr. K. Ramachandra Rao, 3 under Dr. D. Chittibabu, and 4 under Dr. Ranga Rao have registered for their Ph.Ds and M.Phill.
  • Principal, Dr.G.S. Moses has received 2 National Level Awards.
  • An amount of Rs. 1,60,000/- has been generated as internal resource.
  • 2,792 books have been added to the library with a cost of Rs.7,85,000/- granted under XI plan UGC funds.
  • Botany lab has been set up.
  • A new block with 40 spacious rooms with Rs.2 Cr expenditure from the college accumulated funds is under construction.
  • The Website www.govtcollegerjy.org has been launched.
  • Two cadets were selected for Indian Army and 3 for Air Force.
  • An NCC SUO, Mr. D.Rangayya Naidu has participated in the Republic Day Parade in New Delhi. He was also selected for "Youth Exchange Program."
  • 4 Cadets were selected in Indian Army, 2 in Navy, 2 in Air force, 4 in Police Service and 12 others got seats in PG under NCC Reservation.
  • Students of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry got selected for Summer Research Projects at IASC., Bangalore, Mysore and Kalpakam
  • The Department of Zoology has erected a bust size statue of Mahatma Gandhi.
  • District Cultural Meet "Yuva kala Hela" was organized.

Outcomes at the end of the year 2013 - 2014

  • Made IQAC paper free.
  • All the circulars/ formats are being sent to various departments through a separate mail of IQAC – iqacgcrjy@gmail.com
  • A national seminar by the department of physics
  • Organized summer refresher course in collaboration with IISC Bangalore by department of physics.
  • Guided the departments for the annual academic audit.
  • Strengthened alumni association and organized an old students meet in the month of November.
  • Conducted Field Trips, Study Tours and Guest Lecturers.
  • Commenced a certificate course in dance.
  • Organized four Job fairs
  • Entered in to understanding MOU with BARC.

Outcomes at the end of the year 2012 - 2013

  • The Department of Mathematics celebrated the Maths Day on December, 22nd in connection with the Birthday Celebrations of the greatest Indian mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan.
  • The Department of English trained the newly recruited English Lecturers in the state under ELF Program.
  • The Department of English also conducted an outreach workshop to all the lecturers of the other departments in the college on the Communicative method of teaching.
  • The Department of English has successfully collaborated with AKNU, local Junior and Degree colleges besides the engineering colleges in improving Communication Skills among the students. There was an exchange of guest lecturers.
  • The Alumni Association of the college has contacted all the old students living at various places in India and abroad to raise funds for the construction of an open auditorium in the college at a cost of Rs. 30,00,000
  • All the Departments have conducted Field Trips, Study Tours and Guest Lecturers as proposed in the previous year.
  • The Department of Hindi conducted a National Seminar on the 30th and 31st of January, 2013.
  • The NSS, NCC, Red Ribbon Club have conducted various activities all the activities such as Blood Donation Camp, Rallies, Rural Sensitization Programs, Literacy Programs etc. as planned earlier.
  • The Department of Physics has established an e-classroom for facilitating the ICT based teaching at the UG and PG levels.

Outcomes at the end of the year 2011 - 2012

  • Crystal Growth and Nano Synthesis Research Center" was established by Dept. of Physics and was inaugurated by Dr. G. Bhagavan Narayana Scientist-G, Head Material Characterization Division, National Physics Laboratory, New Delhi.
  • The Crystal Growth and Nano Science Laboratory was recognized as Research Centre of ANDHRA UNIVERSITY, Visakhapatnam vide Proceeding No. AUCST/SG (3)/Recog.of Res.Centre./2010.
  • Special Training Program (STP), a unique program initiated by the Commissionerate of Collegiate Education has come handy in training the students for various entrance examinations and competitive examinations.
  • All the departments of the college organized extension lectures in different verticals and horizontals by inviting scholars, professors and other specialists in the field of Higher Education for the benefit of students.
  • The faculty of the college is very active in undertaking the UGC sponsored Minor Research Projects.
  • The Website www.govtcollegerjy.org provides information regarding the history of the college, celebrities among the alumni, infrastructure available, admissions, fee structure, curriculum, examination pattern, faculty and their qualifications, results, scholarships offered, Academic Calendar etc.
  • Yuva Kala Hela, a District Level 2 day cultural festival was conducted in Govt. College Rajahmundry.
  • The Women Empowerment Cell organized activities like Elocution, Essay Writing for girl students Extension Lectures on Opportunities for Women, Greeting Card Preparation and Rangoli.
