The Women Empowerment Cell organized an awareness programme aimed at educating participants about essential helpline numbers and legal rights pertaining to women. The initiative sought to empower women by providing them with crucial information that can help them navigate legal challenges and seek assistance when needed. Objectives: To raise awareness about various helpline numbers available for women in distress. To provide information on legal rights and protections afforded to women under various laws. To encourage women to seek help and understand the avenues available for support. Programme Highlights Inaugural Session: The programme commenced with an opening speech by Principal sir, who emphasized the importance of awareness in empowering women to take charge of their rights. Guest Speakers: B.Padmavathi a legal expert, discussed the various laws related to women's rights, including domestic violence, sexual harassment, and workplace rights. Vasantha Chetty,Supdt,central prison , shared vital information about the helplines available for women facing violence or harassment. Interactive Session: Participants were encouraged to ask questions and share their experiences. This segment helped to foster a sense of community and support among attendees. Distribution of Resource Materials: Pamphlets containing helpline numbers, legal rights information, and support resources were distributed to all participants.
