On January 3, 2025, the Women Empowerment Cell organized a special event to commemorate the birth anniversary of the legendary social reformer and educator, Savitribai Phule, by celebrating National Women Teachers' Day. This day is dedicated to honoring the immense contributions of women in the field of education and their transformative impact on society. Savitribai Phule, a pioneer in women's education, is remembered for her relentless efforts in improving the education system and fighting for women's rights in 19th-century India.

Event Highlights:
Opening Ceremony: The event began with a heartfelt tribute to Savitribai Phule. A floral wreath was placed at her portrait, and a brief introduction to her life and achievements was shared by the event coordinator. The participants were informed about Savitribai's groundbreaking work, such as the establishment of the first school for girls in India and her advocacy for the upliftment of women and marginalized communities.
Guest Speakers: Esteemed speakers, including women educators, activists, and leaders from the community, addressed the gathering. They emphasized the importance of women teachers in shaping the future and how Savitribai’s pioneering efforts still inspire countless women in education today. The speakers also highlighted the continuing need for gender equality in educational institutions and the empowerment of women teachers.
Award Ceremony: The Women Empowerment Cell also recognized the outstanding contributions of women educators from the other institutions. Teachers who had demonstrated exceptional commitment to educating and empowering students were presented with Best Empowered Woman Teacher awards in recognition of their hard work and dedication.
