About Department
Department of Chemistry
The Department of Chemistry is large and has 33 staff members. In this conscientious force, each member is well-connected in skill orientation with one another in order to attain the desired results of the student community. In light of global scientific events, the department conducts special celebrations to raise student understanding and encourage involvement for their future exposure.
The initiatives aim to bridge the gap between laboratory research and practical applications through participatory lectures, field tours, and collaborative projects with neighbouring research clusters and natural habitats. The collective efforts of the staff leverage the student scientific deliverables and foster 16 undergraduate course streams, 3 postgraduate, and 2 certified course streams.
Moreover, the students have been shifting their focus towards industrial chemistry. To address this growing demand, the department has recently introduced novel career-focused courses.
