PROFILE
Social Work is a professional service rendered by the trained persons to the needy and maladjusted, so as to enable them to lead a personally satisfying and socially acceptable life. Social Work, which has been recognized all over the world as a professional service is based on the democratic principals and philosophy. It believes in the human values and respect for the individual worth and dignity. It has a body of knowledge, strategies, approaches and techniques to work with individuals, groups and communities to promote their functional efficiency and welfare. In this process, it deals with different segments of the populations namely children, youth, aged, physical handicapped, women, weaker sections and under privileged sections. The field of social work utilizes social theories to understand human problems, to help improve people's lives, and to improve society as a whole. Many who work in this field specialize in particular areas, such as helping children, assisting those life-threatening problems, or aiding people in overcoming addictions.

All Students of I BA PRDSW, Social Work Students are participated in National Level Electoral Literacy Quiz Competition conducted by the Electoral Literacy Club in association with NSS and NCC Units of KG College, Pampady, Kerala in connection with the Legislative Assembly Elections 2021. 39 students are participated and all are got E-Certificates and 24 members are secured score above 80% in this competition.
8.Some Students of Social Work are actively Participated in NSS Special Camp at Hukumpeta, Near Rajahmundry from 25.02.2022 to 02.03.2022 for conducting Social Awareness, door to door awareness on social issues, Clean Green(Swacha Bharath) , Awareness on Traffic Education, Social Survey Vaccination , food distribution, Outreach program on child issues and conducted literacy competitions to school children.
