Introduction
- Received my B.Sc., M.Sc., and Doctorate degrees from Andhra University,Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.
- Started my teaching career in P.G.Dept. of Botany, V.S.M.College, Ramachndrapuram in January, 1999.
- Got APPSC selection and assumed the position of Junior Lecturer in January 2002.
- Promoted as Degree College Lecturer in November, 2010; worked in Pithapur Rajah's Government College (Autonomous), Kakinada and Government Degree College, Mandapeta.
- Joined the Dept. of Botany, Government College (Autonomous), Rajamahendravaram in September, 2021.
- Member - Expert in CBCS Syllabaus revision committee aegis A.P. State Council of Higher Education, Mangalagiri, Guntur Dist., A.P., Prepared a revised syllabus of Botany (I to IV Semesters) and Skill Enhancement Courses of V Semester for Botany core course. Designed syllabus of two Skill Development Courses and one Life Skill Course.
- Prepared the syllabus for 03 Market Oriented Courses (Horticulture, Seed Technology and Organic Farming) aegis APCCE.
- Author for U.G. Botany Text Books of I and II Semesters aegis APSCHE.
- Member in B.O.S. of Adikavi Nannaya University, Rajamahendravaram for Botany, Horticulture and Forestry courses.
- Evaluator for National Children’s Science Congress activities and DST-INSPIRE Programme at District and State level.
- MANA TV live telecast presenter; Delivered talks on AIR, Vijayawada.
- Member in East Godavari District Biodiversity Management Committee.
Areas of Research
- Recipient of JRF-DBT, GoI and SRF-CSIR, GoI.
- Obtained Doctorate degree in the domaine area of marine algae. Developed a protocol for callus induction and thallus regeneration in Sargassum polycystum C.Agardh
- Research interests are marine algal taxonomy,ecology, physiology, cultivation and biotechnology.
- Published 12 research articles in peer reviewed journals.
- Life member of Seaweed Research and Utilisation Association, Parangipettai, Tamil Nadu
- Mentor for DST major project, completed consultancy projects sanctioned by A.P. Medicinal and Aromatic Plant Board and A.P.State Biodiversity Board.
- Adikavi Nannaya University, Rajamahendravaram conferred research guideship while working at PRGC (A), Kakinada.
- Adjudicated Ph.D. thesis of Mr.S.Palanivel on Freshwater algal diversity of Tamil Nadu, India submitted to University of Madras, Chennai (2019).
- Adjudicated Ph.D. thesis of Ms. M.A.Akhilamole on Efficacy of raw and spent Seaweeds as feed ingredients for Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus L.,) culture., submitted to Annamalai University, Tamil Nadu (2019).
- Name included in the panel of adjudicators for Ph.D.by Alagappa University, Karaikudi and Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirapalli and M.S.University, Kanyakumari.
- One of the 5 editors for SRU (Int. Journal) – Volume - 38.
