Entrepreneurship has become a buzz word not only intheory but also in practice in the Indian businesslandscape. Ever since the start up programme was started in India in the year 2016 by the Government of India, there has been adrastic change in the entrepreneurial education and practice. Innovativebusiness ideas are transformed into viable business models in various sectorsof the economy particularly in the IT and ITES Sector, Bio-technology,financial services, Public Utility services. Small business andentrepreneurship are inseparable elements of entrepreneurial behaviour whocontinuously strives to sustain with innovative andcreative ideas. In recent years, the Indian start-up ecosystem hasreally taken off and come into its own—driven by factors such as massivefunding, consolidation activities, evolving technology and a burgeoningdomestic market. And it’s going to change the way the markets are working todayin India. A lot of start-ups inIndia have entered the industry either unearthing an entirely new market orthrough gaps in existing markets or product lines. Start-upsin India have given rise to more start-ups. Enablers, accelerators, andincubators are firms providing start-ups with growth advice and decision-makingtools. From advising on government policies to act as market catalysts, theygrow the maturity of young ventures. Enablers like NASSCOM and iSpirt bringtogether key stakeholders of the ecosystem including start-up incubators,accelerators, angel investors, venture capitalists, support groups, mentors,and technology corporations. Women entrepreneurs are starting to become moreprominent in the innovation economy. It is in this context, this workshop is organised to create and motivateyoung minds to think creatively and come up with sustainable and innovativebusiness plans by showcasing their abilities and skills.
