We know that Geologist day is being celebrated byGeologists in India on 24th August i.e, Birth anniversary ofPadmabhushan Dr.M.S.Krishnan (Renowned Geologist in India).
Maharajapuram Seetharaman Krishnan was an IndianGeologist. He was the first Indian to serve as the Director of the GeologicalSurvey of India (GSI).
On theoccasion of that day department of geology conducted student seminars onburning topics related to geology, Group discussions, expose geologicalinstruments and rocks and minerals, fossils.
