National Science Dayis celebrated in India on 28 February each year to mark the discovery of theRaman effect by Indian physicist SirCHANDRASHEKHARA VENKATA RAMAN on 28 February 1928. For his discovery, SirC.V. Raman was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1930.

                                    Onthis day department of geology organized geological exhibition i.e, minerals, Rocks,Pertological Microscopes, Different types of dams, especially proto type ofhydraulic crane which stands as interesting instrument on all the modelsexhibited and also got first prize on that day in the entire college.

This is celebrated to encourage the studentstowards the research world.
