TITLE OF THE ACTIVITY : GOODGOVERNANCE DAY

CONTEXT:  commemorating Good Governance Day on December 25^th, also known as Sushasan Divas in Hindi. On this day, the nation remembers former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s birth anniversary. As a part of that the department of political science, Public administration, social work, journalism and mass communication in collaboration with NSS had organized various competitions for the students.

The COMPETITIONS include :

Poster presentation, Power point presentation, Quiz

Significance of the Day :  The purpose is to increase Indian citizens’ knowledge of their government’s accountability.

Objectives:

To make people aware about the government commitment for providing a transparent and accountable administration in the country. Good Governance Day which was aimed to create awareness among the students about accountability of Government and Governance in order to enhance the growth and development in the country through good governance and to bring citizens closer to the government to make them active participants in the good governance process.
