The annual convention of the Alumni Association of Government College, Rajamahendravaram, was held at 10.30 AM on 23.4.2017 (Sunday) in the seminar hall of the college.Principal Dr. R. David Kumar gave a power point presentation on the glorious heritage of the college, illustrious alumni, introduction of new courses and combinations, developments in infrastructure, landscaping, establishment of Incubation Centers and digital classrooms. He briefed the alumni members on the status of the college with regard to NIRF, CPE, NAAC and RUSA. He also spoke about the future focus on issues like fiber grid connectivity, Research and Development, Smart campus initiatives etc.The Alumni members were requested enroll themselves through online registration form available in the college website, restructure the present committee, form a whats App group so as to facilitate being in touch with each other and sustain a healthy alumni committee in the days to come.The members of the alumni discussed various issues pertaining to maintenance of discipline in the college campus, curtailing encroachment of the college land, redesigning the main gate etc,. They assured the Principal and Empower committee members that they would certainly render their services in securing high grade in the ensuing NAAC. They also interacted with teaching and non-teaching staff present in the meet and shared their ideas for the all round development of the institution.
