DEPARTMENT PROFILE

The Department of Philosophy started from the inception of this college in the reigm of  colonial rule. The department endorse the policy of equality and unity amoung the students across the south india. philosophy ,mathematcs and english are prime subjects in degree courses.This college has got fame and name by the honorable Dr.Sarvepalli Radha Krishnan.The Former President of India,worked in this college as Assistsnt Lecturer during 1917-18.At present the department is functioning with two faculty members.Here Philosophy is being taught as Optional Subject in UG Courses. The subject philosophy under part II was introduced at U.G level in this college along with B.A,course with Oxford Tripass combination i.e.,Politics,Philosophy and Economics.

1. B.A  - P.P.T    [PHILOSOPHY,PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION,SPECIAL TELUGU].

2. B.A  - H.P.E   [HISTORY,PHILOSOPHY,SPECIAL ENGLISH] .  

3. B.A - J.MC.P.PSY   [JOURNALISM,MASS COMMUNICATION,PHILOSOPHY,PSYCHOLOGY]

4. B.A -P.PP.AT  [PHILOSOPHY,PUBLIC POLICY,APPLIED TELUGU]

HIGHLITS OF THE DEPARTMENT

1. Bridge course organised for the first year students thouse who have not the relavent subject in inter level.

2. The Department mentering the students  for competitive exams.

3. Observing all National important day's i.e.,Teacher’s Day is celebrated on September 5th on the occasion of former President. Dr. Sarvepalli  Radhakrishnan’s Birth day

4. Interaction and counciling being organized by the deparment.

5. Department has been given Project works, class seminars, assignments and continues internal assesment to the students.

6. To inculcate the sprit among students regarding the social responsibility to support the National Intigrity.
