World Water Day, celebrated on March 22 every year, is an international observance that emphasizes the importance of freshwater and advocates for the sustainable management of freshwater resources. This year, the Department of Geology of Government College (Autonomous) Rajahmundry organized a special event to commemorate this day, aiming to spread awareness about water conservation, especially the importance of protecting our depleting groundwater resources.

A total of 72 students attended the event. The program successfully enhanced their understanding of groundwater systems, issues concerning over-extraction, pollution, and conservation. The lecture inspired many students to consider projects and careers related to water resources
