Zoology
The Department of Zoology was established in this prestigious and historical institution in the year 1953 with Chemistry and Botany as other options of the group, C.B.Z. with a sanctioned strength of 60 students.
The advanced and restructured courses namely, Microbiology with Chemistry , Microbiology with Food Chemistry and Aquaculture, Zoology and Chemistry.
The MZC Course (Microbiology, Zoology and Chemistry) was introduced in the year 2005-06 in place of MLT Course as per the instructions of the Commissionerate of Higher Education, Hyderabad.
The postgraduate programme in Zoology was introduced from the academic year 2001-2002.
The Postgraduate Programme in Aquaculture was introduced from the academic year 2018.
The Department Offers UG Honours Programmes in Zoology and Aquaculture and PG Programmes in Zoology and Aquaculture as per the NEP curriculum framework.
The Department offers certificate and skill development course in "Ornamental Fish Culture"
