The Department of Computer Science organized an educational and interactive online ‘Guest Lecture’ on 6th July, 2024 at 3.00 p.m. in Digi-Hub Lab. The Guest speaker was Lakshmi Sarvani Videla, Lecturer in Computer Science, SRR & CVR Government Degree College(A) Vijayawada.
The expert speaker Lakshmi Sarvani Videla, started her talk by giving introduction about machine Learning. Then she explained the differences between Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, the two hot buzz words in the current market and why Machine Learning is required. Later she covered various use cases where Machine Learning is applicable. The use cases were Real time like, Recommendation Systems, Prediction based on history (Real Estate),etc. She continued the talk with the Machine Learning Techniques which includes Regression, Classification, Clustering. She explained about extracting the features and classification with real time examples. She discussed about the gmail spam detection. Further he spoke about the training data sets and learning algorithms.
