The Department of Zoology in our college enthusiastically celebrated National Science Day
from 26th to 28th February, with active participation from students, faculty members, and
visitors from various institutions.
The celebrations began on 26th February with an Open Lab Visit, where students from
different colleges and schools visited the Zoology laboratories. The visitors were introduced to
various specimens, models, and experiments, which helped in enhancing their understanding of
biological sciences and sparked scientific curiosity.
The event was formally inaugurated by our respected Principal, Sri Ramachandra R.K. Garu,
who delivered an inspiring message on the significance of National Science Day. He emphasized
the importance of scientific thinking, research, and innovation in shaping the future and
encouraged students to actively engage in scientific learning.
On 27th February, the Department organized various competitions such as quiz, poster
presentation, and exhibitions. Students participated with great enthusiasm and demonstrated their
knowledge, creativity, and interest in Zoology and related sciences.
The celebrations concluded on 28th February with a Special Guest Lecture delivered by a
distinguished resource person, who enlightened the students on recent developments and career
opportunities in science. This was followed by a Prize Distribution Ceremony, where winners
of the competitions were awarded and appreciated.
