Digital Recording Studio (Drusya)

As part of the IT initiative of the Government College (A), Rajamahendravaram was established Lecturer Capturing System (Digital Recording Studio (Drusya)) (Media Centre) for E-Content Development

Objectives

  • To develop e-teaching materials in a creative way without IT expertise
  • To develop e-content using contemporary ICT
  • Enable exploration of more usable presentation in the context of e-Learning content creation through models, practical examples and checklists.
  • To enable effective content delivery through Video (Self-Learning - Audio/Video) to explain the topic is an essential component of each module of the e-Content.

Technologies Available in the studio:

The Studio has two high resolution cameras fixed to the walls that can be connected to wires and wireless. There are also one digital class room equipment (big TV with high speed internet connection (50 Mbps fiber private Line) with a dedicated screen, Digital Podium, Two (2.0tn) AC Units with good ambiance. One of the main walls can be used as a whiteboard from floor to ceiling. There are also portable whiteboards that can be brought in this room. There is a motion-tracking camera mounted to the ceiling should use to recording of class sessions.

There is also a 3D scanner and printer; and equipment for Virtual Reality.

The room is ideally designed for a group of minimum 70 people or but can accommodate maximum 90 people. The required furniture is arranged with 80 seminar hall chairs, furniture is movable to impart flexibility in classroom design and promote student engagement.

The 2 KV UPS with 4 four) - 62 AH batteries for back up facility is arranged to overcome power break up problem during lecture recording.
