Every year on November 21st, the world celebrate World Fisheries Day. It's a day dedicated to highlighting the
significance of preserving the world's fisheries and aquatic ecosystems. The day's goal is to promote awareness
of the vital role that fisheries play in providing food security and nourishment for millions of people throughout
the world, as well as the importance of sustainable fishing practices in conserving marine life and the
environment for future generations. Fisheries, both marine and inland, are crucial for people's livelihoods.

In this view, the Department of Zoology collaborates with A.P. Fish Breeding Centre, Kadiyam. Both of them
celebrate World Fisheries Day at Padalarevu, near Dowleswaram, Rajahmundary. The Zoology Dept. students
Produced fish larva in their Internship and Project work that nearly 20 lacks released into Godavari River.
The Dist. Collector, Dr. Madhavilatha Garu, was awarded with certificates and appreciated by all the students. In this
