The Department of Zoology organized a Free Eye Camp on 19.02.2026 exclusively for the Teaching
Staff, Non-Teaching Staff, and Students of the college, in association with Goutami Nethralaya,
Rajahmundary.
The program was conducted under the guidance and encouragement of RespectedPrincipal Dr.
Ramachandra R.K garu, whose constant support contributed to the successful organization of the
camp.
Experienced ophthalmologists and medical staff from Goutami Nethralaya conducted
comprehensive eye examinations, including vision testing and screening for common eye-related
disorders. Free consultations were provided, and participants were advised on proper eye care,
preventive measures, and the importance of regular eye check-ups. Necessary guidance and
referrals were suggested for further treatment wherever required.
The Eye Camp received an encouraging response from the Teaching and Non-Teaching staff as
well as students. Faculty members and student volunteers of the Department of Zoology actively
coordinated the event, ensuring its smooth and systematic conduct.
The successful organization of the Eye Camp reflected the Department of Zoology’s commitment
to the health and well-being of the college community and strengthened its role in promoting
preventive healthcare initiatives within the institution.
