Observed “World Wetland Day” on 2nd February-2026 by department of Botany, Government College (A), Rajahmundry in Collaboration with A.P. Forest academy in this connection an awareness lecture was organized to the life science students and the District Forest Officer Sri. Prabhakara Rao delivered a lecture on significance and conservation of wetlands and their role in Biodiversity.

Outcome:
Students were enlightened with the concepts delivered on Wetlands and RAMSAR concepts by the resource person and interacted actively and assured to share the knowledge in the student community and the society.

All the participants received positively and expressed their willingness to continue the knowledge sharing for the society and for the conservation of wetlands and Biodiversity.
