International Day of Forests-2026 was observed on 21st, March in collaboration with A.P. Forest Academy Rajahmundry. in this program B.Sc., Botany students, Forest staff and environmentalists were participated and the department of Botany in-charge and forest officials addressed the students and created awareness on the significance of forests in conservation of biodiversity and reduction of Carbon emissions to protect the environment and mitigate the climate change. A pledge was conducted with students and all participants on forest and environmental protection. A mass plantation program was also conducted in the Phuskaravanam forests.
