On the occasion of National Energy Conservation Week 2025, the Department of Physics & Electronics organized an Elocution Competition for students on the theme “Energy Conservation for Future Generation.” All staff members of the department actively participated in organizing and conducting the event. A total of 14 students from various Science and Arts departments took part in the competition and expressed their views on the importance of conserving energy for sustainable development. The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation and commendable performances by the students. Betha Praveen (II M.Sc. Physics) secured the First Prize, P. S. K. Tirupati Reddy (I B.Sc. Physics – Hons.) won the Second Prize, and P. Gowri Sankhar Dora (III B.Sc. Physics – Hons.) secured the Third Prize. In recognition of their outstanding performances, prizes were distributed to the winners, encouraging students to actively contribute towards energy conservation and environmental sustainability.

Outcomes: Enhanced awareness among students about the significance of energy conservation and its role in ensuring a sustainable future. Improved communication and public speaking skills of the participants through structured elocution practice. Encouraged students to adopt energy-saving habits in their daily lives.

Feedback:

The elocution competition on the theme “Energy Conservation for Future Generation” organized on the occasion of Energy Conservation Week 2025 received an enthusiastic response from students. Participants expressed that the competition provided them with a valuable platform to enhance their public speaking skills while deepening their understanding of the importance of conserving energy for sustainable development.
