As part of the “Joy of Giving” initiative, the Department of Physics, along with PG First Year students, organized a social outreach activity on 31st January 2026. The faculty and students visited Sri Gowthami Jeevakarunya Sangham, located at Pushkar Ghat, Rajahmundry, which is an orphan home catering to boy children below 15 years of age. Understanding the immediate and essential requirements of the children, the department and students collectively contributed funds and donated daily necessities such as detergents, soaps, oil, toothpaste, kesari, dal, and other essential groceries. The materials were handed over to the caretakers of the orphanage for the welfare of the children.

Outcome:

The program successfully motivated students towards social service and reinforced the importance of community engagement. The initiative strengthened the bond between the institution and society, making students aware that even small efforts can make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
