An Orientation Class on the Community Service Project (CSP) was organised by the Department of Commerce & Management, Government College (Autonomous), Rajahmundry, for I B.Com students on 28th April 2026 in Classroom 510, Commerce Block. The session was conducted by Dr. B. Prathima to familiarise students with the objectives, structure, guidelines, assessment process, and implementation methodology of the CSP programme. The orientation highlighted the importance of experiential learning, community engagement, social responsibility, and practical exposure through surveys, awareness campaigns, and mini projects. Students were also guided on project topics, logbook maintenance, report preparation, and ethical conduct during field activities.

Outcome:
• Students gained a clear understanding of the objectives, structure, and importance of the Community Service Project (CSP).
• Participants became aware of the 80-hour project requirement, assessment criteria, and reporting procedures.

Students found the suggested project topics relevant to real-life community issues and felt motivated to participate meaningfully in community engagement activities. The session also helped clarify doubts related to logbooks, project reports, and group work, making students feel more confident and prepared for the CSP.
