The department of English, Government College (Autonomous), Rajahmundry organised one day International Seminar on the theme :"From Text to Tongue; Exoring the Synergy of Language and Literature" on 7th December 2024.
The inaugural meeting of the seminar was presided over by Dr. Ramachandra R.K., the Principal of the College. Dr. K.S. Ramesh, Professor of English and Dean, CDC, Adikavi Nannaya University, Rajahmundry was the Chief Guest and Key Note Speaker for the seminar. Other eminent Guest speakers included - Prof. T. Viswanatharao, Prof. Kanthimathi, Associate professor , SNB College for women, Chennai, and Prof. Ashma Dhamail, Jubail Imam Abdulrahaman Bin Faisal University , Saudi Arabia. The convenor of the seminar Mrs. M. Sri Lakshmi, Incharge of the Department of English has elaborated on the objectives of the international seminar. The speakers deliberated on the interdependence of language and literature. They insisted on the need for usage of literature for providing rich experience of language to the students.
The seminar received research papers from across the country on different aspects related to language and literature. Dr. A. Rajeswari, organising secretary of the seminar coordinated the seminar. Prof. Nagabhushanam started the seminar with prayer. Dr. Noojilla Srinivas proposed vote of thanks.
