75th Constitution Day celebrations at Rajahmundry Government Arts College, Department of Political Science The 75th Constitution Day celebrations at Rajahmundry Government Arts College, Department of Political Science were held grandly at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Seminar Hall. First, floral garlands were laid at the statue of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar located in the college premises and tributes were paid. The District Legal Services Authority Secretary and Senior Civil JG K Prakash Babu, who was the chief guest at the 75th Constitution Day celebrations, extended his greetings on the 75th Constitution Day and explained the importance of the Indian Constitution, urging everyone to abide by the Constitution of India and protect its sanctity. The Constitution should be made known to everyone that the Constitution is the policy of the government and all the laws in the Constitution should be implemented in accordance with the policy of the government. The college principal, Ramachandra RK, said that every citizen should respect the Constitution of India, read the Preamble of the Constitution and study every aspect of it and protect the values of the Indian Constitution. Later, Veerendranath spoke about the importance of the Constitution and informed the citizens of the country about the tireless efforts of the Constitution Drafting Committee in forming the Constitution. Senior advocate P Srinivas said that according to the Constitution, every citizen should take advantage of the fundamental rights and directive principles and that the government i.e. the legislative, executive and judicial branches play an important role. Dr. P. Babji, Head of the Department of Political Science, said that Constitution Day is celebrated on the day when Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, as the Chairman of the Constitution Drafting Committee of India, drafted the Constitution and approved it on November 26, 1949. He said that the Constitution was written to respect the personalities of all by providing equality and equal rights, and that the Constitution was designed to promote national unity. Political Science teacher Dr. Seetha Mahalakshmi said that the Constitution of India is the supreme law of every country and that it should not be understood by reading it separately, but its origins should be understood, that the states exercise their legislative, executive and judicial powers through the Constitution, and that all people get their fundamental rights only through the Constitution. Later, prizes and certificates were given to all the students who participated in the essay writing quiz competitions and won. Political Science teachers Farha Yasroon K.P.B.L. Saroja, C.H.
