The event began with a formal welcome by the school administration. Dr. P. Babjee, Head of the Department of Political Science, guided the proceedings and addressed the audience about the importance of parliamentary democracy. Syed Farha Yasroon, Lecturer in Political Science, conducted the Mock Parliament session with great effort and enthusiasm, engaging both college and school students in an interactive demonstration. A. Ramakrishna, faculty member, extended valuable assistance in coordinating the activities and mentoring students. Students from B.A. Political Science (Second and Final Year Honors) actively participated in enacting various parliamentary roles such as Speaker, Prime Minister, Opposition Leader, and Members of Parliament. The mock session included Question Hour, Debate on a Bill, and Voting Procedure, giving participants firsthand experience of legislative processes. The school students observed with keen interest, learning about how democratic discussions and policy decisions take place in Parliament.
