Educational and entertaining field trip for Arts College students Educational and entertaining field trip for Arts College students 19-11-2024 The field trip to Amaravati by the local Arts College Social Sciences department gave great satisfaction to the students. Under the auspices of the State High Commissioner of Andhra Pradesh Vidhan Sabha, Rajahmundry Government College students had the opportunity to witness the assembly sessions firsthand. A total of 100 students from Political Science, Journalism, Social Work, Philosophy students and faculty members of the respective departments participated in this tour at 11 am. The college faculty and students watched the meetings for about an hour. Later, they visited the Secretariat building complex. They had lunch at the "Anna Canteen" located there and visited the Undavalli caves. Finally, they also visited the premises of "Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Samajika Nyaya Shilpam". The students got to know the legislative drafting process and discussions that take place in the assembly sessions firsthand. Similarly, they visited the "Undavalli historical" structures and understood the architectural splendor. They also got to know the huge stone statue of Ambedkar built in Vijayawada city and its importance. The teachers and students got to know the role of the State Higher Education Commissioner in the management of the government degree college. The students and teachers thanked the Principal of the Arts College, Dr. Ramachandra R. K Garki, who fully supported the resources for this field trip. Student K. Gayatri I BA Political Science said that the direct experience on the executive branches, which are the main parts of the government, was very useful. Vaishnavi I BA JMC said that the Undavalli caves conveyed mental excitement and historical splendor. Prasanna Kumar IMA, Political Science stated that the PG students learned a lot of information through the visit to the Higher Education Commissioner's office. P. Srinivas IBA Social Work expressed his happiness by saying that by visiting the Ambedkar campus, we once again remembered Ambedkar's work in detail. Bhimashankar I BA Political Science further informed that this tour was a blend of great knowledge and entertainment. All the other students also participated in the field trip enthusiastically and expressed their views that such trips once a year fill the spirit and enthusiasm. All the students who participated in this trip were very enthusiastic and made the field trip a success. In this field trip, Political Science teachers Dr. K. Seetha Mahalakshmi, Smt. Syed. Farha Esron, Mrs. K. P.B.L. Saroj, A. Ramakrishna, Social Work faculty Dr. S. Rani, K. Kusuma Kumari, Philosophy faculty S. Surya Narayana participated.
