Innovative Human Rights Day
Local Government College, Rajahmundry, Political Science Department organized Human Rights Day celebrations on Tuesday, 10.12.2024 at 11 am at Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Seminar Hall. As part of this program, a debate was organized on human rights. All the students participated with great interest and expressed their views. Student Vamsi Krishna said that society looks down on criminals and that they have rights and should be protected.
Student Anusha spoke about government schemes, protection of fundamental rights and right to information. Student Neeraj spoke about the human rights attacks taking place around the world.
Political Science teacher Dr. K. Seetha Mahalakshmi spoke and explained the importance of human rights, saying that moral values are necessary to make students good citizens.
Political Science teacher Syed Farha yasroon said that it is the responsibility of teachers to instill moral values in children and to shape them without violating human rights. Addressing this program, the college principal Dr. Ramachandra R.K. praised the Political Science department for organizing such an innovative program.
